Mount Hutt
Mount Hutt is the largest ski area in Canterbury. From the on-piste with a mixture of man made and natural snow to the many off-piste areas with wide open bowls, steeps and shutes. There is plenty of terrain for every level of skier.
There is a large beginners area in front of the base buildings, wide grommed run running the length of the field for intermediates and experts, and the off-piste. The Towers and South Face offer plenty of varied terrain for the more advanced skier.
Conditions permitting there is also back country skiing down North Peak with a helicopter pick up which drops skiers back at the car park.
