Our Screensaver
We've collected a few of our favourite shots and put them
into a screensaver for you to enjoy. The following page will
explain how to get it all up and running.
If you're already familiar with how to install a screensaver
and set it up, then you can skip this section and DOWNLOAD
it right now.
SECTION 1 - Downloading the screensaver.
The ACTIVE NEW ZEALAND screensaver is simple to download
and install, this page will guide you through how to get it
working on your PC. When you click on the link to download
the screensaver you'll see a dialogue box similar to the one
on the right.
Make sure Save this program to disk is selected.
Then click OK.
You will be asked to choose a location to save it to.
Once you've done that the screensaver will start to download.
It's about 1 megabyte in size which means that if you
have a slow Internet connection the download should take about
five minutes. If you're on broadband you'll have received
the file in a few seconds.
Once you'
ve
finished downloading it, go to where you chose to save it.
You should see a file called Active New Zealand Screen
Saver.exe. Double-click with your mouse on that file.
Another dialogue box will appear similar to the one on the
right, asking you whether you want to install the screensaver.
Click Yes.
After that a window will open with some introductory text giving you some more information about the screensaver and our contact details should you have any problems. When you've finished reading that window it's safe to close it.
After
a few seconds pause another dialogue box will open, like the
one on the right. This is just asking you whether you would
like the Active New Zealand screensaver to be the screensaver
you always use. You should choose Yes here. If you
wish to change it at a later date it's easily done.
Once
you've completed all the above steps, one final box will open
telling you've the installation is complete. Click OK.

SECTION 2 - Setting up the screensaver.
Now you probably want to have a look at the screensaver you've
just installed, the following instructions should work on
most versions of windows.
Click the "Start" button, choose "Settings" and then "Control Panel".
You
should see an icon named Display, Double-click it!
In
the next dialogue box that opens, click the Screensaver
tab at the top. You can use the dropdown menu in the Screen
Saver tab to choose a screen saver of your choice, password
protect it, if you like, and set the "Wait" period before
it kicks in! If you would like to see the screensaver right
away, click Preview. But remember, if you move your
mouse the preview will end!
That's it! If you ever want to change to a different screensaver
or turn it off completely, just follow the steps in Section
2 and use the dropdown list.
