Adrian

Name:
Adrian "Loopy" Nankivell
Position:
Co-Guide/Cook

Bio:
Adrian has been exploring the outdoors since his early teens, and with a background in Geophysics, has travelled to such far away places as Antarctica, Alaska and Iceland. What our clients have said:

"Adrian was a joy to be around and a great cook!!"
-- Trish Rohrer (MA, United States) March 2004 Rimu

"Adrian was courteous and always obliging. Excellent cook"
-- Adam El-Dieb (MD, United States) January 2005 Rimu

"Adrian is a very interesting chap. Deceivingly intellegent as well as talented. From his "chilly bin" to the fire dance he did, he showed us many talents. I wish I could have picked his english cranium more regarding the geological background of the country. He spoke periodically to us about the formations and glaciers and other things. I learned a lot, but wanted more. Also very accomplished in the outdoor trades, he was a reliable constant presence as our guide. Patient with my partner who was ill for part of the trip, making accomadation for her as necessary. He, like Darlene, was a most wonderful guide, lacking nothing I can think of as a host for the South Island tour. He taught us that mud was good and teased us when we saught to avoid it in our path. MUD IS GOOD! He worked seamlessly with Darlene to make our trip a truely awesome time. Too bad he's a desk and chair guy most of the time for Active NZ....what a waste of a talent. He will get soft that way. Keep him in the field and with customers. He seeks to please and is fun to chat with and listen to. "
