"New Zealand is truly a breathtaking country and if you go with ACTIVE NEW ZEALAND, you'll see it from the kiwi perspective because you can tell how much the guides love their country. They also love showing it to you and you will get to see all the wonderful nooks and crannies of the the South Island. Rainforests awash with mud and waterfalls, rivers to ford, mountains to struggle up with a big pack but what a sense of accomplishment. And
amazing views of mountains stretching as far as the eye can see to the horizon and sea. Deserted beaches with crashing waves and everywhere birdsong in the trees. Make sure you go out at night to see the stars fill
the sky and the night birds, to feel the quiet hush. All this and the sense of accomplishment for me was doing things I never thought I'd be able to do especially the 3 day backpacking up a mountain. But I did!"
