Family travel ideas - Family hiking trips – Family adventure vacations
I would say it was a once in a lifetime trip,
but it was so good a person should not only experience it once.- Mike G., (USA) Aug 2009 Winter Rimu
Our New Zealand Family Trips
Family friendly travel and adventure hiking trips|
We know travelling with children is very different to travelling on your own or with other adults, so our family travel trips are a bit different to our regular adventure trips. On our family adventures, we take over the not-so-fun part of family travel – planning meals, finding family-friendly accommodation, organising fun activities that appeal to all ages, getting from A to B – and leave you to enjoy family time and just have fun with your kids. We meet you at the airport and head out for family hiking, rafting, kayaking and exploring. With us you have the chance to see the rare kiwi bird up close and pat a baby wallaby (small Australasian marsupial), without having to worry about the where and how. Genuine, non-touristy experiences that both you and your children will love. On top of that, we have specialised family guides that know how to take care of kids of all ages! Lofty, our main family guide, has been guiding with ACTIVE for years and spends the rest of his time running adventure camps for young people on the outskirts of Christchurch in the South Island. He makes sure everyone’s having an amazing time and he never fails to entertain – it’s not uncommon for the bus to come back after one of our family trips covered in streamers and glitter! |
